To be fair to Jeremy Corbyn, the tax hike they are talking about is 1.5% on Corporation Tax, which has been lowered beneath the basic rate of tax anyway. So, more of a "readjustment" than a hike.

(But why 1.5%? That's such a precise number. Couldn't it have been 1% or 2%? Or is it a made up number that's supposed to seem precise?)
