Separately, it has emerged that most big companies have stopped describing tax avoidance as acceptable, in a sign of the public backlash against aggressive planning. But more than two-thirds of companies say they are “always open to ways to legally reduce our tax payments”, according to research carried out for Revenue & Customs.
