Well, not necessarily, but it's not ruled out. Corporation Tax for large companies went down to 21% from 1 April, so it's not like they've had time to get used to it. It might go back up if Labour win the election.
Ed Balls has left the door open to increasing corporation tax if Labour wins the election. For the second time in a week, the shadow chancellor refused to rule out an increase in tax on large companies. The Coalition has cut corporation tax from 28 per cent to 20 per cent. Labour have pledged to put it back up to 21 per cent in order to fund rate cuts for small businesses.
